Learning through musical play

Jellybeans Music© is an opportunity for you and your child to experiment with sound and to discover and develop new skills together.  In a relaxed and secure environment, we focus upon creativity, social & physical skills and the development of language and all our sessions support the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum.  Sessions are very interactive and we encourage and rely on parents and carers to join in with everything - why let the children have all the fun!!

Music wise, we use a blend of traditional songs and nursery rhymes (all especially recorded for us to get just the 'sound' we like!) plus music from all around the world.  We sing accompanied by backing tracks and unaccompanied so the child can 'find' his voice and we use 'live' music making in the majority of our sessions (always remembering to 'share' the guitar with all the jellybeans!).

Which is the right programme for my child?

Jellybeans Music currently offers two programmes, Jellybeans and baby beans, and is working hard at finishing Bouncing Beans!  The age ranges are for guidance only as each child is an individual and develops at his/her own pace.  If you are unsure which programme is best for your child, please talk to us and we'll help you decide.

Baby Beans

Birth to sitting/early crawling

Baby beans is a gentle, relaxed introduction to music making for non mobile babies.  The session is jam-packed full of sensory stimulation and early music making including baby jam, baby dancing, baby brain build and cuddles galore!   It is a very relaxed session, we understand that sometimes babies just want to be held or fed and that nappies always need changing just as you are leaving home!  Expect to hear music from all around the globe, to learn songs, rhymes and play ideas to enjoy at home and a time to meet and make friends with people who have babies the same age.  Oh, and did we mention the bubbles?!

Jellybeans

Confidently crawling to 5 years

If you have a baby, toddler or preschooler (or maybe some of each) Jellybeans is the class for you!  An energetic, creative, noisy 45 minute session, it is a time to meet the jellybeans, Tilly, Sam, Bertie & Poppy and to sing, move, experiment with our huge percussion orchestra and listen!    Expect to hear traditional UK songs & nursery rhymes plus music from all around the globe and to see lots and lots of our 'famous' bubbles
